El Azteca Mexican Restaurant in Hampton

Very good food!

Always my go to Mecican restaurant. I have been going there for years. The staff is always friendly and quick. There is a large menu and quick lunch specials. I enjoy the food and especially the chips, salsa and white sauce when I first get there.

Great food and friendly fast service.

These reviews are misleading. I ordered from postmates. I ordered the chicken, beef, and shrimp fajitas. The flour tortillas was burnt and hard. The meant was burnt like they cooked it an old burnt grease. They don’t give you any toppings , like tomatoes and cheese. The give refried beans with no rice. And the refried beans look weeks old and nasty. I’ll never order from here again. I called up there to express my concerns about my order and the assistant manager there answered the offline and proceeded to laugh and could care less that the food wasn’t right, he sounded like a child. I wish I can find a real Mexican place around my area and not these fake Mexican places. The food was outrageously disgusting.

This place has me torn. The Carne Asada was well seasoned and tasted alright, but was the thinnest and toughest cut of meat I've ate in a long time. However, the Chori Pollo is quite possibly one best dishes of anything I've ate anywhere. So uh, quality ranges from alright to absolutely outstanding.

I ordered the tossed salad and it came out pretty fast but the quality of the salad is terrible. It came with one tomato and the rest was lettuce and cheese. Honestly it didn’t taste very good with the cheese.

Food was phenomenal! My order was taken fast and my food came out very quickly. I wish I could say more good things but I cant. Customer service was absolutely horrible! They ignored people that walked through the door, I couldn't find my server the entire meal, and I had to flag down 2-3 waiters before getting things like a box or a fill of water. For takeout, I would definitely recommend. For a sit down restaurant, I probably won't come back

OMG. This place is great! Can't wait to visit again on my next trip to Hampton.

The food is good and the prices are good too. I have been here a few times but the service tends to be a little on the slow side. Not bad if you're having a good conversation with friends or family, but not ideal. Another issue is that I was told that it costs extra for more chips and salsa after your first one. I didn't know if this was a misunderstanding or actual restaurant policy, but it struck me as odd, especially since I didn't have this issue the previous times I visited and no other Mexican restaurants I go to do this. I probably won't keep going to this place, but I don't think it's bad. If you want to try it out, I'd say go right ahead.

Great good! I'm from San Diego, so I know my mexican food & this is great Mexican food. Finally found a spot similar to what we have back home. Love it!

Great customer service , great friendly staff very fresh meals made and prepared for you here we had chicken and steak fajitas and it was out of this world

Mediocre food vegetarian potato burrito should be fried hard instead of soft and gooey....just a tip la Parilla can show you how to do it

One of the best Mexican restaurant in town, the dishes are so great and tasty while the place do showcase the culture of Mexico plus the crew were nice and friendly.

It's some of the very best Clean-cut wonderful Mexican Cuisines that I have had sense I've moved here 10 years ago.

Great food, great service! The chimichangas are awesome. Beef has 2 and shrimp has the one large. Everything was delicious. Good margherita too!

They were very clean, we were seated right away the sever was very polite & helpful the prices were reasonable

I’ve been going here since I was born- literally. My family’s been going for 20 years. And over the hundreds of times we’ve been we have never been disappointed. The food comes out fast and is always good, and right. An incredibly consistent choice. The staff treats you like family. Its such a nice little place. To go to a restaurant for as long as we have and never have a negative experience is honestly something rare. Best Mexican restaurant in our area hands down. Cant beat it.

This is my mine and my husband's FAVORITE place to eat!!!! They have such great food, and we love when Paco is our waiter! I highly recommend eating there. We have tried other mexican places in the area, but nothing compares to El Azteca!

Great place to eat Mexican food. Atmosphere is great. The staff are wonderful. The only place that we've been going to more than once. Always good to come back to. Lots of food for less.

I mostly get the same thing but tonight I tried something different. I tried the California burrito with steak and it was. . YEEEESSS. The steak was well cooked & everything was made properly.Normally, I don't get an extra dip when it comes to the the original salsa and white sauce. BUT TODAAAAAY. . I was like. . Let me try this bean dip. So when I got it. . I was confused because it looked like a bunch of cheese .. BUT I HAD TO MIX IT UP AND WOW. . beans and cheese.I also love how they also give big glasses of water. I drink so much water LOL. Christian also took great care of us.We will def be back.

El Azteca is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The salsa here has just the right amount of heat to bring out the full flavors of the peppers. Their texmex dishes are a great way to try their flavorful enchilada and tomatillo sauces.

Food was great, fast coming out. Acceptable service. Restroom needed attention.

The food is good but the Hispanic workers there are prejudice especially towards Black Men. I had the same problem with the one in another State so it’s definitely a pattern. I came in by myself. I wasn’t loud or obnoxious. I ordered my food online and went and picked it up. I stood there in front of the register and waited and waited and waited. A white woman comes in behind me and as soon as they see her they approach her. Two Hispanic men one old and the other one fairly young made eye contact and kept walking ignoring me. Finally a lady came out and she ignored me until I said something to her. I paid for my food but I will not be going back because the Hispanics there are prejudice.

My husband and I's favorite place to eat. The staff there are very friendly and provide excellent customer service, the food is phenomenal, they have never messed up our orders. My kids absolutely love their food and they can be picky about what they eat sometimes. Prices are great, especially for the quality of food. Hope this place is around for a very long time and I'm super happy it's close to our home.

The food is mediocre at best. Juan's is much better. Worse than the food, however, is their service. After asking for our check, we waited over 20 minutes as our waiter walked past our table several times to help other people, and when I tried to lean out of the booth to get his attention, he wouldn't even look at me. We finally just got up and went to the front where the line to pay was and then he finally decided to give us our check. We will not be back, as we can get much better service and food literally anywhere else.

Fast, friendly service. Authentic Mexican cuisine in a cozy restaurant atmosphere. Went around 4pm for a late lunch. Chips were fresh and hot, the food could have been warmer but it came out super fast. Update to review came again today 8 months later still great food and service!

Been really craving fajitas from here. I usually would give this place 5 stars but I'm pretty annoyed that my shrimp fajitas (takeout so stuck eating as is) came with the tiniest half slice of tomato (luckily I had some at home to cut up and add in) and no rice at all. Fajitas are just not the same without rice. My sweet husband ran to the commissary to get me a bag of microwave rice so I can have some kind of rice to go with. Unacceptable.

Been eating here for 14 years. Was always great. Me and my daughter only had a few bites of our meal as you can see all the oil build up on the plates. Oil is loaded under the beans and the rice is swimming in it. My son has stomachs pains. First time it was ever bad here but one time is enough.no discounts nothing all we got was ok from the lady.

Great service. Food was fairly priced for huge portions and delicious. Drinks are also well made and fairly priced. I liked the friendliness of the staff but they also let us be to enjoy our meal and drinks. We got fast service and good attention even when the place got packed.

Super clean and friendly place. Tasty food and generous portions. The white sauce served with the chips is awesome so please give it a tray. Reasonable prices and great service. I would be a regular if I lived in the area. We plan on coming back next time we are visiting.

Fast service, food was good, kinda pricey.

If I could give this place zero star rating I would. My food was rushed out 2 minutes after I ordered. Clearly it was thrown on the plate and microwaved. My food was not freshly cooked to order. It was full of cheese and the soggy rice was skimpy. Also found a disgusting clipped fingernail in my leftovers this morning.

My favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. A small, nondescript eatery in a strip shopping center, this place is cheap, consistent, and delicious. Their white sauce and red sauce are fresh and worth going just for those chips and salsa. I've been here dozens of times and never once been disappointed. If you like Mexican food, go now!

Dinner was outstanding!!!! The food is great and the service is even better. As a vegan eating out is hard. El Azreca has several great vegan options.

Very nice place, very accommodating servers. I wanted my food veganized and they helped me get the perfect meal that was very tasty. When we first pulled up I was kind of nervous due to location. But inside is very nice and clean! Food was great!

This place never fails me. My all time favorite place to go the service is friendly and fast the chips and white dip is always amazing. This place literally is awesome
